คำศัพท์ชื่อตำแหน่งงานภาษาอังกฤษ ใช้ทำอะไรได้บ้าง

สำหรับวันนี้ ผมจะนำเสนอ คำศัพท์ชื่อตำแหน่งงานภาษาอังกฤษ นะครับว่ามีอะไรบ้าง สามารถใช้งานได้อย่างไร เรามาดูกันเลยครับ

คำแรกคือ Executive ตำแหน่งบริหาร เป็นตำแหน่งที่มีอยู่ในบริษัททั่วไปขนาดใหญ่ ถ้าเป็นคำ ADJ จะหมายถึงเกี่ยวกับการบริหาร หรือการดำเนินการ หากมีคำต่อท้าย เช่น Executive Editor ซึ่งเป็นคำนาม จะหมายถึง บรรณาธิการบริหาร เป็นต้น


ตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในคำ Executive มีดังนี้
The executive director is a real pushover for looks.
We'll need a head hunting agency to find the right man for this executive position.
This was an executive decision.
The parking spaces nearest the door are reserved for executives.
In most Japanese companies, only a few executives have a room to themselves.
We sat face to face with executives.
Some of the company's executives are out of town for a conference.
The foreign executives visited the manufacturing plant.
I got acquainted with the chief executive.
I trust his executive ability.

ยังมีอีกคำครับที่น่าสนใจสำหรับคำว่า Executive คือ Executive program หมายถึง โปรแกรมระบบ (systems software) ซึ่งมีหน้าที่กำกับดูแล หรือควบคุมการกระทำการ (execution) ของคอมพิวเตอร์ให้สอดคล้องกัน เป็นต้นว่า ดูแลการทำงานของหน่วยรับข้อมูล หน่วยแสดงผล (input/output unit) การดำเนินการและกำหนดการใช้หน่วยประมวลผลกลาง (CPU) หน่วยความจำ (memory unit) ให้ทำงานให้สอดคล้องกัน โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่ง ในระบบทำงานแบบหลายชุดคำสั่ง หรือระบบมัลติโปรแกรมมิ่ง (multiprogramming) ชุดคำสั่งชุดนี้ เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของระบบปฏิบัติการ (operating system) มีหน้าที่หลักในการดูแลไม่ให้การประมวลผล โปรแกรมทีละหลาย ๆ โปรแกรม เกิดความสับสนกัน มีความหมายเหมือน supervisor


คำที่สอง คือ Director ตำแหน่งผู้อำนวยการ หรือ อธิบดี เป็นตำแหน่งใหญ่ในวงราชการหรือโรงพยาบาล สถานศึกษาก็ใช้คำนี้นะครับ หรือในทางบริษัท คำนี้จะหมายถึง กรรมการบริษัท ถ้าในทางภาพยนต์ก็จะหมายถึง ผู้กำกับ หรือในทางดนตรี ก็จะหมายถึง วาทยากร เป็นต้น

The movie director was enchanted by Kate at first sight.
The director used his power to arrange a special place in the cinema world.
He had not been employed by the company three years before he become a director.
The director is sensitive to criticism.
The director became really anxious at this second postponement.
The director boasted of his status.
The bank director was held in high regard.
It was mismanagement of the company's affairs by the acting director.
We were all surprised at appointment of Mr Brown as a director.

มีอีกคำนะครับที่น่าสนใจสำหรับคำว่า Director คือ directorate หมายถึง สำนักงานผู้อำนวยการ,ตำแหน่งผู้อำนวยการ,คณะกรรมการบริหาร,คณะกรรมการ
